A pregnant North Dakota woman has been missing for four days, leading her family to worry about soon-to-be mother’s well-being.
Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind, 22, hasn’t been seen since Saturday afternoon after leaving her North Fargo apartment to visit an upstairs neighbor. Her family told the Duluth North Tribune that there are signs the pregnant woman didn’t leave on her own accord.
“I immediately knew something was wrong because her car is here,” her mother, Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind, said. “She’s eight months pregnant. Her feet were swollen, so she wouldn’t have taken up walking like that. There was pizza here that she hadn’t eaten. She would not just leave that lady’s apartment and go somewhere.”
Savanna’s car was reportedly located in the apartment building’s parking lot. Her wallet was also allegedly left behind.
“It’s unlike her to just up and disappear like that without telling anything,” the missing woman’s boyfriend, Ashton Matheny, told WDAY. “I don’t think that she would do that.”
Fargo police directed two K-9 searches, US Customs and Border Protection conducted an aerial search, and the Fargo Fire Department searched the Red River—all without success. The missing woman’s uncle also searched the river with his personal watercraft.
“At this time, there is nothing to suggest criminal activity,” Fargo Deputy Police Chief Joe Anderson revealed to the local paper.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Lafontaine-Greywind was reported missing Saturday afternoon after she stopped responding to her boyfriend’s texts. Before her disappearance, she is said to have gone upstairs to help a neighbor fit a dress.

Police reportedly searched the upstairs neighbor’s apartment three times in addition to interviewing Savanna’s family, friends, and coworkers.
Savanna’s family and boyfriend have canvassed the area and distributed hundreds of flyers since her disappearance. Her mother said they aren’t actively searching because there’s nowhere left to look.
Norberta noted that Savanna has no history of mental illness and hasn’t gone missing in the past.
“She’s in danger,” her mother said. “Something’s wrong.”
The North Dakota woman is expecting her first child in late September. The 22-year-old is described as 5-foot-4 inches tall, with green eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, shorts, and Nike slip-on sandals.
Anyone with information about Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind’s whereabouts is urged to call the Fargo Police Department at 701-235-4495.
