A 16-year-old teen disappeared from Georgia on Tuesday, and her family is frantic for answers.
Mayci Olschewske was last seen at her home in Canton, Georgia, on August 31. Her mother, Nicole, reported that Mayci may be in a white 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe with a “Support Wildlife” Georgia tag, WPQ909. The car has a multi-colored steering wheel cover and a large dent on the front passenger side
A student at Mayci’s high school reportedly said the teen was on her way to Oregon, but according to Nicole, Mayci doesn’t have ties Oregon that she knows of and doesn’t have enough cash to get there.
“Mayci is still missing and her phone has been off for 48 hrs. I am losing my mind……We are worried sick physically for her safety. She told someone at school she was going to Oregon. I have no idea why and I hope and pray it’s not true. She does not have enough money to make it there.”
A few people, however, indicate that Mayci may have gone to a neighboring city in Paulding County, where she grew up. Further, although several people have given tips after spotting a teen girl who resembled Mayci in Carrollton, Georgia, police haven’t reported had any confirmed sightings.
Mayci has blonde hair, green eyes, stands 5-feet-5 1/2-inches tall, and weighs around 135 pounds.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Detective Tom Priest at the Canton Police Department at 770-720-7883.
