‘She’s Savanna all the way:’ Boyfriend releases first pictures of murdered pregnant woman’s baby girl [UPDATE]

The boyfriend of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind has posted the first pictures of their presumed newborn daughter.

Though Ashton Matheny said he wouldn’t release any pictures of Haisley Jo until she’s in his care, WDAY reports that the slain woman’s boyfriend recently posted photos of the infant girl to his personal Facebook page.

Haisley Jo remains in protective custody until DNA results confirm Matheny and LaFontaine-Greywind, 22, as her parents. Matheny, along with LaFontaine-Greywind’s parents, Norberta and Joe Greywind, saw the baby girl for the first time on August 30.

“She’s beautiful,” Matheny said at the time. “She’s Savanna all the way.”

The photos come days after LaFontaine-Greywind was laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo. WDAY reported that the newborn attended a Wednesday night vigil and Thursday’s funeral.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, LaFontaine-Greywind, who was eight months pregnant, disappeared from her Fargo apartment on August 19. The woman’s remains were found wrapped in plastic near the Red River on August 27.

Two suspects, William Henry Hoehn, 32, and Brooke Lynn Crews, 38, were arrested August 24 after authorities allegedly found a newborn baby in their apartment. Crews is accused of luring LaFontaine-Greywind to the upstairs apartment under the guise of helping her with a sewing project.

Crews allegedly told officers that she helped LaFontaine-Greywind self-induce her birth at Crews’ apartment on August 19. She also claimed that LaFontaine-Greywind returned two days later to give her the newborn.

A preliminary autopsy revealed that the Fargo woman died as a result of homicidal violence. A full autopsy report is pending.

Meanwhile, Hoehn and Crews are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and providing false information to law enforcement. They are being held at the Cass County Jail on $2 million bail each.
