A juror passed out in a Bronx court after seeing autopsy photos of a murdered pregnant woman who had her baby cut from her womb.
According to the New York Post, the female juror was rushed to the hospital Thursday after a prosecutor presented photos of Angelikque Sutton’s lacerated neck and detached uterus to the court. The unresponsive woman was discovered after the judge called a recess and she didn’t exit the jury box.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, the victim’s childhood friend, Ashleigh Wade, is accused of fatally stabbing Sutton, 22, cutting her baby out of her dead body, and claiming her as her own. Wade allegedly murdered Sutton to hide the fact that she was faking her pregnancy.
“The defendant cut Ms. Sutton’s larynx, her voice box,” Assistant Bronx District Attorney Meredith Holtzman told the jury on Monday. “Ms. Sutton could not scream, could not say a word.”
People reported that Wade allegedly lured Sutton to her home on November 20, 2015, under the guise of giving her a wedding day gift. The victim was heading to the courthouse to marry fiancee Patrick Bradley.
“Once she had cut Ms. Sutton’s abdomen open, the defendant cut Ms. Sutton’s uterus entirely out,” the prosecutor added. “She cut that uterus open, took the baby out, and discarded that uterus on the bathroom floor.”

Wade allegedly told officers who arrived at the grisly crime scene that the newborn was her child.
Jenasis Bradley, now 22-months-old, miraculously survived the traumatic ordeal and lives with her father.
Wade is being tried on murder charges after being found mentally competent to stand trial. She faces life in prison if convicted.
