A teen boy was fatally stabbed in New York City and the violent scene was caught on surveillance video.
Surveillance video taken outside of a bodega in the Bronx early Friday morning shows a group of four men dragging 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz along the sidewalk outside of the store, repeatedly striking him with a machete and another knife.
The soundless surveillance video was posted to Facebook by someone with the username Riichy Rich, and since obtained by the New York Post.
Police told the newspaper that Guzman-Feliz was stabbed multiple time, including in the neck. Still, the teenager survived briefly: The footage shows him standing on the sidewalk as the attackers flee the scene, appearing to point to his mouth. He then runs off, reportedly to a hospital.
The victim had reportedly had an earlier confrontation with his killers, and ran to the bodega for safety. But the men dragged him out.
“He tried to run into the store because he thought he’d be safe. They dragged him from the store like a dog,” the victim’s sister Genesis Collado-Feliz, 17, told the New York Post. “They were grown men and he was only 15.”
Investigators reportedly believe Guzman-Feliz knew his attackers, and the homicide may be related to gang violence.
