The adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State coach convicted of numerous counts of child sex abuse, is facing charges of sexually assaulting a child.
According to WTAJ, Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jeffrey Sandusky, 41, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, on suspicion of sexually abusing multiple children.
Police told the news station that an investigation began in November 2016 after a child is said to have received text messages from Sandusky, which the child showed to their father. In some of them, Sandusky asked the child for naked photos. According to the New York Post, Sandusky was dating the child’s mother and lived in the same home as the child for five years.
The criminal complaint reportedly includes additional allegations of abuse of another child in 2013.
Sandusky was reportedly asked to leave the home once the allegations of abuse surfaced. On Monday afternoon, bail was set at $200,000.
