A Friday altercation in an El Cajon, California, store, caught on cellphone video by a customer who posted the fight on Facebook, went viral.
ABC 15 reports that Ibrahim Ahmed was buying lottery tickets at the El Cajon Safeway store when a female customer and what looks to be a store employee started arguing. The customer, dressed in a long-sleeve blue button-down shirt and black pants, attempted to leave the store several times, but the store worker stood in front of the entrance with another employee and refused to let her leave.
Apparently, the store employee accused the customer of stealing. According to Ahmed, the employee was on the phone with the police while trying to block the customer from leaving the store. At one point, the employee grabbed the customer’s bag and flung it to ground, knocking $200 worth of baby formula out.
“The worker turned her bag upside down and all the baby formula over 200$ [sic] worth fell all over the floor.”
After the employee kicked the canisters away, she moved away from the entrance and the customer walked by. According to Ahmed, the customer was irate that the employee touched her bag, and started yet expletive and racist words.
“She said, ‘you shouldn’t have touched my bag you’re a Mexican.’ After the video she kept cursing at them and she said this is why Donald Trump want you guys out of this f****** country.”
No police report was taken, but authorities are currently investigating the incident.
