Copple, TX police are asking for help in catching a car burglar suspected in almost 75 heists since November 2016.
According to the Dallas News, most of the burglaries have taken place on the west side of the city and around the grounds of Wilson Elementary School, in the 200 block of South Coppell Road. Police believe the skilled thief may live in the area.
The suspect is believed to walk around a neighborhood and pull on door handles of cars in driveways or on the street, hoping to happen upon ones that are unlocked. He then is able to swipe items like purses, laptops, firearms, cellphones and sunglasses from these easy targets, as reported by Coppell Police.
Based on surveillance video, the suspect he appears to be a 6-foot white man with a thin build, believed to be between 17 and 21 years of age, and has worn a gray or light-colored hoodie for his nightly raids.
