Two people are dead in a shooting at a San Bernardino, California, elementary school Monday morning.
CNBC confirmed the fatalities in a tweet Monday afternoon.
According to NBC, the shooting may have been a murder-suicide, though police have not confirmed the identities of the deceased. A shooter reportedly entered a classroom and fired shots at the teacher, and two students were injured. A source who spoke to an NBC reporter said she had heard the shooter turned on a gun on themselves.
Monica Garcia, of the San Bernardino Unified School District, told NBC that the shooting appears to have stemmed from a domestic violence situation involving the suspect and the teacher who was shot.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
