A Fort Worth father shot his son as the young man was trying to run him over with his car.
According to the Dallas Morning News, an identified 28-year-old man got into an argument with his father in East Forth Worth on Tuesday morning — and it turned violent when he tried to run his father over with his car.
The dad responded by brandishing a weapon and shooting his son in the chest, police told the newspaper, describing the shooting as done in self-defense.
Neither the father or son have yet been identified.
The son was taken to a hospital, where he is reportedly in stable but serious condition.
The father was briefly detained but later released. It is not known if he will face any charges.
