Authorities said eight men abused and gang raped a teen girl at a Connecticut recording studio for six days in April.
The New Britain Herald reported that the victim claimed one of the men she knew as “Wookie” didn’t let her leave the studio and repeatedly raped her with seven of his friends. The 14-year-old said she was held in the basement and drugged with Molly (a form of ecstasy) and that Wookie and others held a knife to her throat. She claimed that Wookie cut her stomach and neck and threatened her with a gun, according to WTIC.
The teen said she tried to escape through a window but it was too far away and she was restrained when she tried.
Miguel Pagan, 20, (pictured) was arrested in May in connection with the incident. Pagan—who goes by Wookie—allegedly had pictures of the New Britain studio and victim on his phone, according to the Herald.
A search warrant also produced Facebook messages between the victim’s mother and Pagan. In the messages, the mother claimed she knew what was going on and he would be charged with rape if he didn’t stop. She also told him, “Use condoms. No evidence,” according to WTIC.
“Your cell phone is your daily biographer,” New Britain Police Captain Thomas Steck told the station. “So when we have them, we use them.”
The Associated Press reported that Pagan has pleaded not guilty to trafficking a person, aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, unlawful restraint, kidnapping with a firearm, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor by sexual contact last month. He is being held on $1 million bond.
No additional arrests have been made.
