Nevada arrested a woman and charged her with murder after her mother was found dead in their Henderson home on Tuesday.
CBS 8 reports that Carly Kalbfleisch, 26, reportedly stabbed her 65-year-old mother numerous times, causing fatal injuries. The incident took place off of the 3700 block of Via Gaetano Street, at close to noon. Kalbfleisch called 911 herself and reported a domestic disturbance with her mother.
When police arrived, the victim, whose name is unknown at this time, was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Kalbefleisch was arrested and booked into the Henderson Detention Center without incident. She’s charged with “open murder.”
The Clark County Coroner’s Office is currently performing an autopsy to determine the victim’s official cause of death.
Kalbefleisch was apparently an aspiring actress who frequently posted photos and videos of herself on social media, including an a capella rendition of the song “Boyfriend,” made famous by Justin Bieber. Just a few hours before her mother’s death, Kalbfleisch posted a “selfie” on social media and wished everyone a good day.
The murder investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with any information should call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4750. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or send a text to“CRIMENV” + tip info to 274637 (CRIMES).
