After Natalie Wood’s body was found in waters off of Catalina Island Nov. 29, 1981, the Los Angeles County coroner concluded the 43-year-old actress’s death was an accidental drowning. Questions went unanswered for decades about how Wood might have fallen into the cold Pacific water from the yacht she shared with husband Robert Wagner.
The questions grew louder in recent years, leading to the Los Angeles County sheriff reopening the investigation. Wood’s death certificate was revised with the cause of death listed as “undetermined.”
“Crime Stories with Nancy Grace” is presenting a series of interviews with those responsible for re-heating this cold case. Our first episode featured Cold Case Investigative Research Institute director Sheryl McCollum. This episode features Lana Wood, the younger sister who has never given up demanding justice for Natalie.
