Police have arrested a Richmond, Virginia woman after a video of her allegedly abusing a child went viral, according to WTVR.
The footage, uploaded to Facebook earlier this month, allegedly shows Larita Cosby, 32, grabbing the child by her hair, repeatedly hitting her and knocking her to the ground.
During the video, the young girl can also be heard mentioning that an unnamed adult “touched” her, adding another layer to an already complex case.
“You’re a mother f**king liar,” another woman tells the unidentified girl as Cosby can be seen delivering several more blows to the head.
Some onlookers, including the cameraperson, can be heard laughing and telling the young victim to “get up” throughout the two-minute beating. On the ground, the girl can be seen pleading to Cosby to let her go. She is only met by more punches.
Near the end of the video, the crying girl can be seen tending to a bleeding mouth. Cosby asks someone to get something to wipe her face, while continuing to hold the victim by her hair.
The Richmond Police Department announced on Facebook that they arrested Cosby on Friday. Though police did not disclose Cosby’s relationship to the girl, they did say that they’re currently working with Child Protective Services.
