A 19-year-old woman dead and her 21-year-old cousin severely injured after they were allegedly attacked by homicidal family members.
The Sun reports that two men and a woman have been arrested in what police are investigating as a possible honor killing in southwest London, after the teenage girl was found dead in a freezer in a $1.9 million-dollar luxury home. A 21-year-old woman, the niece of one of the alleged killers, reportedly escaped from the scene with her throat slashed.
The unidentified suspects are believed to have kidnapped the women before bringing them to the property.
The murder victim was reportedly brutalized and dismembered.
“Whoever did this cut her up Jack the Ripper style,” a family friend told the Sun.
Neighbor Bernett Thrones told the newspaper that she heard running and commotion outside her window before someone banged loudly on her door. By the time she went downstairs to answer it, no one was there.
“By the time I opened the door the person was gone. I could hear them running away on the stones,” Thrones said.
“It was strange but I didn’t realize how serious it was until the police came later. It’s a horrible shock.”
The two male suspects, ages 33 and 28, have reportedly been charged with murder and attempted murder, while a 29-year-old woman has been arrested on charges she assisted them.
A police spokesperson reportedly said that investigators are working to establish a clear motive, but confirmed that the victims knew their assailants.
“We are doing everything we can to fully understand the circumstances of this despicable attack on two young women,” Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Price said, according to the Sun.
