Three people are dead and two are wounded after a group of gunman opened fire at a Mexico resort this weekend.
ABC News reports that the gunmen opened fire at a Los Cabos beach filled with tourists on Sunday afternoon. Law enforcement officials told the news station that the shooting took place at the entrance to Playa Palmilla, a beach near San Jose del Cabo at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula that is popular with tourists.
The Daily Mail obtained witness video footage of the shooting, in which the sound of automatic gunfire can be heard in the crowded beach area.
Three men were killed, and two other people are injured. The identities of the victims are not yet known, and police have not reported on any motive.
There has been a surge of gun violence this in Mexico this year that authorities believe is a result of warring drug cartels.
