Illinois police are looking for a 14-year-old endangered and missing girl who disappeared on early Monday morning. Her family reports that the teen battles with mental issues and self-harm, and didn’t bring any medication with her.
Anna Racine disappeared from her mother’s home in Bureau sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Anna’s mom, Karen Podobinski, told CrimeOnline that the teen is likely with 21-year-old Morgan Burcham, a former janitor and track supervisor at the teen’s school.
Anna is described as a white female, standing 5-feet 4-inches tall with hazel eyes and brown hair. She weighs around 110 pounds. Podobinski said that she’s unsure what Anna was wearing last, aside from new black Nike sneakers with tie dye laces. She also took a red Hall High School bag with her.
Burcham is described as a white male, standing 5-feet 11-inches tall with black hair and blue eyes. He weighs around 143 pounds and could be driving a 2008 Silver Pontiac G6 with Illinois license plate, “N519264.”
Podobinski is pleading for Burcham to bring her child home safely.
“Morgan, bring her home safely. Anna, we love you with all our hearts. Please come home.”
Sarah House, Anna’s cousin who considers the teen a sister, is also pleading for the teen to come home, and wants her to know that her family only wants her to return. House said the teen has nothing to fear and it’s not too late to “turn back.”
“Anna, I’ve known and watched you grow since before you can remember. Please find your way home to those that love you and are worried about you. You don’t have to be afraid to turn back now. Morgan, do what is morally right. Make an adult decision. My parents have cared for her for years and were give guardianship for a reason. She needs to be returned safely.”
