Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two Pennsylvania teens that haven’t been heard from in more than a week, as reported by CBS Philadelphia.
Authorities note that Summer Gearhart, 14, of Henryville, (pictured left) and Meghan Dougherty, 15, (pictured right) of Collegeville, disappeared on August 27. Investigators suspect the teens are possibly traveling together and are in the Philadelphia region or the Poconos.
Horsham police told WPVI that they’re concerned because there has been no word on the teens’ whereabouts for more than a week. Officers have noted that the pair could very well be in danger, reports have indicated.
The girls’ families have been assisting local law enforcement in order to help find the two missing teens.
“Meghan, if you see this posting, PLEASE CALL OR COME HOME,” Dougherty’s mother, Lori, wrote on Facebook Saturday. “We are worried about you and love you very very much. Love Mom & Dad.”
