An Ohio mom who stabbed her now former boyfriend several times after reportedly finding him naked and on top of her 12-year-old daughter on Tuesday will not face any charges. The ex-boyfriend, however, is behind bars.
Cleveland.com reports that police arrested Troy Parks, 31, and charged him with rape and gross sexual imposition.
The incident occurred inside a Stockyards neighborhood home at West 58th Street at around at around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The child’s mother told police that as she was turning in for the night, she noticed her Parks in a bedroom with her daughter. She said he was naked and on top of her.
The mom admitted that she “flew into a fit of rage,” grabbed a pocket knife, and began stabbing the suspect. A physician at MetroHealth hospital later confirmed that Parks was stabbed five times in the chest and one time in the back of the head. The original report that listed the suspect had been stabbed five times, has been updated to reflect six stab wounds.
“In a fit of rage, (she) grabbed her pocket knife and attacked him,” the police report read.
The mom called police and once they arrived, they found “lots of blood on scene” and a clearly upset woman who explained to them what happened. The mom said that after she stabbed Parks, he grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the wall. She managed to push him outside, but he allegedly kicked down the front door. She said both her and her daughter suffered lacerations from the incident.

When officers interviewed the girl, she said the man first “touched her under her clothing,” then removed his clothing and removed her pants. Before he sexually assaulted the little girl, he allegedly told her, “this is what it is like in the real world when you have a boyfriend,” according to the police report.
Police transported Parks to MetroHealth hospital, where he claimed the mom may have attacked him because the little girl had a crush on him.
This isn’t the first time Parks has been in legal trouble. His list of previous criminal charges include aggravated assault, failure to comply, drug trafficking, theft, and felonious assault.
Parks is currently in custody at the Cleveland City Jail. Police asked the judge to give the suspect a high bond since the family fears for their safety and thinks the suspect will try to retaliate against them.
