A former middle school in Georgia, recently arrested for allegedly having sex with a student in 2013, is in hot water oncer again. Authorities tacked on additional charges after she reportedly had sex with another student in 2015.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, authorities arrested Shawnetta D. Reece, 40, of Blairsville, for reportedly having sex with a boy student in 2013, at Union County Middle School. Authorities arrested her on Aug. 14 and charged her with “child molestation and sexual assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority”, according to the New York Post.
On Thursday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) filed additional charges on Reece after claiming she had sex with a 15-year-old student in 2015.
“The continued investigation into Reece revealed that she engaged in sexual conduct with an 18 year old student in 2015. The student was a high school senior at the time of the incident,” the GBI statement read.
Officers arrested Reece in her Blairsville home without incident on one count of “sexual assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority.”
“Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be provided to the Enotah Judicial Circuit District Attorney for prosecution,” the Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated.
The GBI plans to send the information to the Enotah Judicial Circuit District Attorney for prosecution once the investigation is complete.
It’s still unclear is Reece was granted bail. Check back with CrimeOnline as additional information becomes available.
