An accused pedophile fell to his death early Thursday morning after being accused of groping a boy at his sixth birthday party.

Edgar Collaguazo, 44, died around 1:05 a.m. while trying to escape the parents of the little boy he was accused of molesting, according to New York Daily News.

The boy’s family was holding a birthday party for him at Collaguazo’s apartment where they rented a room. They said he returned home, drunk, sometime Wednesday night in the middle of the party.

The 44-year-old brought three children – the 6-year-old, another boy, and a 5-year-old girl – into his bedroom to watch a movie.

The birthday boy’s mom said the little girl left the room at one point acting odd.

“The little girl was happy and well, and then suddenly, she came out, but…she looked different.”

The boy’s father peekedinto the room but didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. When the little girl’s mother went to check, she saw Collaguazo holding the 6-year-old in his lap with his hands on the boy’s genitals.

She went to the boy’s mom “frightened and crying.” The men in the house immediately started to attack Collaguazo, but the mother told them to stop since she had already called police. They locked the 44-year-old in the bedroom as they waited for officers to arrive.

They looked into the room shortly after and discovered the Collaguaza was gone. They looked out the window and saw his body laying four stories below them.

A witness said he was leaving an apartment across the street when he saw the man fall and heard the sickening noise.

“The guy had one foot on the ledge trying to climb over the bars. He let himself go head first and landed with a thud and splatter. It sounded like a pumpkin fell off the roof.”

Surveillance footage captured the horrifying moment Collaguazo’s body falls from the window, hits a gate belly-first, then slides onto the ground seconds before a police cruiser arrives on the scene.

He was rushed to a hospital but died from his injuries.

The 5-year-old girl later told her parents that Collaguazo kissed her in the room and told her not to tell anyone, which is why she suddenly left.

Rocio Marin, 49, Collaguazo’s estranged wife, isn’t convinced that’s what actually happened.

“I want to know what actually happened. Everybody just blamed it on him.”
