Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a North Carolina teen who was last seen in Concord.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Friday for Precious Maxwell, 15. WNCN reported that officials haven’t said when she was last seen but the alert did say she was spotted near Roberta Road in Concord.

The alert also characterized Maxwell as “endangered” and said she is “believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.”

The exact nature of the teen’s disability is not yet known.

Maxwell is described as being black, about 5 foot 3 inches, weighing 140 pounds, and having long brown and black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a long sleeve burgundy shirt with ‘Gastonia’ in white letters, pink pajama pants, and white slip-on shoes.
