A New York man was arrested on Wednesday after police said he raped a girl he met online.
Pix11News reports that Javier Morales, 28, allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl after chatting with her on the social app, Snapchat. According to his arrest record, Morales “did arrange to meet the victim on numerous occasions and engaged in sexual intercourse.”
Police located the suspect in Elmont, where they arrested him. He’s charged with “committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree” and second-degree rape. He’s behind bars with a $200,000 bond, according to Newsday.
Authorities indicated that there may be more victims that Morales lured in for sex.
