Some new details have emerged in the mysterious deaths of a young couple in Florida this week, believed to be the result of a murder-suicide.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Travis Timilty and his girlfriend Nicole Given were found dead in their Singer Island home on Wednesday. There have been conflicting reports about who found the bodies and the timeline leading up to the killings, but the most recent local reports indicate police discovered the bodies after a relative requested a welfare check.
Earlier reports indicated that Travis’s mother found the bodies, but that no longer appears to be the case.
According to CBS 12, Given and Timilty met at Sailfish Marina, and she moved into his place in August. On October 20, Given made their relationship Facebook-official.
And according to the Palm Beach Post, that was the day after Timilty filed for divorce from his wife, after a marriage of less than one year. That marriage was reportedly dissolved on November 28.
It is not clear if Given was aware of Timilty’s marriage and divorce. CrimeOnline has contacted a woman who we believe may be that first wife, but she has not responded to a request for comment.
As noted in an earlier post, there is some conflicting information about nature of events leading up to the murder suicide. Neighbors told the local media that Given seemed eager to leave the relationship. and that she was seen carrying belongings to her car the day before her death.
But Timilty’s parents told the Palm Beach Post that they saw their son just half an hour before the presumed murder-suicide, and that he was in good spirits. They also said that he was preparing to propose to given, as early as the coming holidays.
It is not clear who requested a welfare check or why a relative was concerned about Timilty or Given.
Travis was an avid fisherman, and both his and Nicole’s social media feeds indicate they were bot enthusiastic about fishing and hunting. In Travis’s final Instagram post earlier this week, he is seen hunting an animal, and he tagged Nicole in the post, indicating she was with him.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
