A UK woman is now a registered sex offender after authorities found a video on her cellphone showing her having sex with a dog.
The Daily Record reports that Livingston, UK, police responded to the home of Suzy Cairns after suspecting her of possessing disturbing child abuse images. While searching her home, they found her cellphone, which contained a video of Cairns engaging in sex with a Labrador Retriever. According to Prosecutor Jim Robertson, the act “appeared to be self generated involving the accused and her pet dog.”

Robertson said the same dog was present in the home last March, when the raid took place. Authorities also found the child abuse images they were initially looking for; the investigation began after Scotland’s Cyber Crime Unit saw her IP address used to obtain indecent images of kids. Although none of the images showed “penetrative sexual activity” with the children, police did find photos and videos of kids that depicted some sort of sexual activity.
“She was interviewed and a mobile phone was seized and examined,” Robertson explained. Indecent images and other images were found within the phone. She was interviewed and made various admissions at that time.”
With evidence stacked against her, including over 100 images of children engaged in sexual activity, Cairns pleaded guilty to two felony counts of possessing pornographic material. A judge ruled that Cairns register as a sex offender. She’ll learn how long her name will remain on the registry when she returns to court in February.
