An Atlanta high school student was shot and killed inside a home on Sunday and police say one of his friends may have pulled the trigger.
Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that 15-year-old Carlos Davis was shot in the stomach while hanging out at a friend’s house on Sunday night. Police reported there were around four other kids inside the home when the shooting occurred.
“He was inside of a bedroom with three or four other males, and at some point, a gun in the bedroom discharged,” Atlanta police Lt. Carven Tyus told WSB. “There was one shot fired, based on what the witnesses inside that house told us.”
The victim, a football player at Mays High School, passed away from his injuries.
Atlanta police Sgt. John Chafee said that investigators are still working to determine what happened inside the home and why Carlos was shot.
The story is still developing. Check back with CrimeOnline as additional details become available.
