A college student in Connecticut is exposing what he claims are injuries inflicted by his former girlfriend earlier this month when he told her he wanted to end their relationship.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, 19-year-old student and model Kathryn Mahoney was arrested on suspicion of second-degree felony assault and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct in connection to her alleged violent reaction to her ex-boyfriend’s news.
The apparent victim, Ben Kebbell, revealed what he presented as the broken and bloodied nose he sustained at the hands of Mahoney during the March 1 attack in a Fairfield University dormitory room.
In Snapchat images of his face, he took a lighthearted approach to the situation.
“The katie thing comes with a broken nose lol,” he wrote as a caption to one of the photos.
Barstool Sports used the incident to provide an update on its one-time model in a “Where are they now?” article published this week.
Following the incident, Kebbell reportedly told officers that he attempted to calm Mahoney by grabbing her shoulder after the initial punch but was forced to seek assistance from another dorm room when she continued to act in a combative manner.
As the Fairfield Citizen reported, the alleged assault escalated when the suspect hit Kebbell in his stomach and then in his face with a closed fist.
After leaving the scene, Kebbell received medical treatment at an area hospital.
Reports indicate Mahoney was arrested and booked into jail with bond set at $1,500.
