British actress Elizabeth Hurley rushed from the U.S. to be by her nephew’s side following a brutal stabbing Thursday night in the streets of London.
As the Sun reported, Miles Hurley, a 21-year-old model, was admitted to an area hospital after reports indicate he was stabbed several times in an attack that could have easily proven fatal.
“His family feared the worse,” said a source close to the situation. “Fortunately it seems the knife missed his vital organs.”
Elizabeth Hurley, whose sister is the victim’s mother, was seen arriving in England on Friday in an apparent show of support for the nephew whose modeling career she has publicly supported.
Along with a photo of the aunt and nephew together, the actress shared a social media update on his status.
“He was repeatedly stabbed and lost more than four pints of blood,” she wrote.
She explained that a patrolling police officer spotted the victim in distress and tended to his injuries until emergency crews arrived.
“The deepest wound just missed severing his spine,” she said. “By some miracle no vital organs were damaged.”
Her social media post ended with a plea for an end to senseless violence.
“We are praying that these animals are caught before they maim, or even kill, someone else,” she wrote. “These are sad days.”
Miles Hurley has worked as a model for designer brands including Dolce & Gabbana and Robert Carvalli.
