‘Mom’ films herself molesting toddler daughter, sells videos for drug money: Prosecutor

An Indiana mother is accused of recording herself molesting her three-year-old daughter and selling the videos for drug money.

The child’s father told WAVE that he called the police after finding the disturbing footage on Jamie Simms’ phone. Court documents obtained by the news station stated that Simms was visiting the 3- and 1-year-old she shares with the father last week.

“I feel sick, I felt sick since I found out,” the father said.

Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull alleged that Simms, 23, would violate her toddler daughter while she was sleeping.

“In this particular case, the allegation is that the defendant filmed the child abuse/child molestation that was occurring and then did distribute the video of that molestation on apps or websites that included Kik, Reddit and a something known as Omegle,” Mull explained.

Omegle is an internet chat platform that allows users to communicate with each other without registering.

According to the News and Tribune, Simms reportedly told police that she had a drug addiction and would use apps like Kik, Omegle, and Reddit to sell the illicit videos. She allegedly claimed she made as much as $200 for the videos and used the money to purchase drugs.

Sent to five unknown males, the videos allegedly show Simms sexually abusing her daughter or Simms using sex toys on herself in the child’s presence.

Simms is charged with child molesting, child exploitation, and child pornography. The News and Tribune reported that she pleaded not guilty to all charges during a Thursday morning court hearing.

The Indiana mother remains jailed on $50,000 bond. A trial is scheduled for August 7.
