Authorities in Virginia have issued an AMBER Alert for an infant girl believed to have been abducted by a suspected sex offender.

WSOC-TV reports that 7-month-old  Emma Grace Kennedy is missing from the Virginia/North Carolina border after she was allegedly abducted by her biological father, Carl Kennedy, at a gas station. Kennedy allegedly attacked the baby’s mother with a knife but taking off with the infant.

Kennedy is a registered sex offender, and is currently out of jail on bond related to drug distribution charges. He is reportedly driving a gold Suzuki sedan with an emblem “Johnny’s Auto Sales” and fake North Carolina tags, FAA-1873. He is believed to be carrying a knife.

Emma is considered to be in extreme danger. She had blond hair and blue eyes; stands two feet, two inches tall and weighs 18 pounds. She was reportedly last seen wearing a light blue onesie with a rabbit design, along with a matching headband.

Carl Kennedy is reportedly heavily tattooed; with skull tattoos on each arm. Other tattoos include a pit bull with the words “American Bulldog” written below it on his right arm, and a tattoo of an eye on the back of his right hand.

Carl was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, white shorts, and black and white sneakers. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
