Authorities in Kentucky arrested a suspect in the death of a man earlier this week at a gym in Tennessee.
According to the Tennessean, Bowling Green police located the 36-year-old suspect in Monday’s hatchet attack and arrested him Tuesday evening.
Domenic Micheli was transported to Nashville on Friday to face charges including criminal homicide. As of the latest reports available, he remained in custody without bond.
Police believe Micheli attacked his former boss, 46-year-old Joel Paavola, at Balance Training, a gym in Belle Meade that the victim owned.
Paavola was reportedly helping cients when his killer brandished a hatchet and fatally stabbed him.
Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a tip that Micheli was in the state driving a Toyota Prius he
allegedly used to leave the scene in Tennessee.
When authorities stopped him and searched his car, they reportedly found blood on the interior, as well as a large knife and a hatchet.
