An Ohio man who pleaded guilty to arranging a sexual liaison with a 15-year-old boy was sentenced Friday to a seven-day stint behind bars.

Police arrested Albert Maruna, IV, 23, in December, after it was revealed that the underage boy he was talking to was actually an undercover officer posing as a teen. According to KDKA, Maruna met the boy on a dating app and sent him nude pictures despite the officer repeatedly telling him that he was a 15-year-old boy.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Maruna told the boy that he didn’t believe in age and said he wanted to be his future husband shortly after meeting him. The pair ultimately agreed to meet in Austintown, with Maruna saying that he’ll bring chicken Alfredo, Sprite, and lubricant.

WFMJ reported that officers who arrested Maruna at the meeting spot found him in possession of an iPhone, a MacBook, three zip drives, a bottle of Astroglide lubrication, Vaseline lotion, two bottles of Sprite, and chicken Alfredo in a Tupperware container.

Maruna later told police that he didn’t believe having sex with a 15-year-old was wrong.

The ex-Youngstown State University student initially faced various charges, including three counts of importuning, four counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, and a count of possessing criminal tools.

WFMJ reported that Maruna turned himself into Mahoning County Jail on Monday. After serving his weeklong sentence, he will serve 120 days of house arrest and three years probation. He’s also required to register as a Tier 1 sex offender.
