Actress Heather Locklear is reportedly back in the hospital just hours after her release from jail on Monday.
TMZ reports that an ambulance and several police officers arrived at Locklear’s Thousands Oaks home on Monday afternoon after a call from someone concerning an overdose. Earlier reports indicated that after her arrest on Monday, Locklear planned to check herself into treatment for alcohol abuse and mental health issues. The details on how and why she was allegedly taken involuntarily are still unclear.
According to an source said to be close to incident, Locklear is currently in stable condition.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, California authorities arrested Locklear at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night and charged her with battery on a police officer and emergency personnel. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, a family member contacted authorities after the actress allegedly became irritable and irrational after drinking alcohol to the point of intoxication.
When officers arrived, Locklear reportedly punched a deputy when he tried to separate her from her family, then kicked an EMT worker while authorities attempted to place her on a gurney.
Locklear was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation on June 17 after she allegedly assaulted her parents and threatened to kill herself. On June 21, she was released after a three-day psychiatric hold.
“Listen, we all have our struggles and our issues. There’s no one that can say we don’t,” actor Jack Wagner, Locklear’s ex, told Extra shortly after her psychiatric hold. “Heather’s in my prayers. I love her and her family, and I just hope that she can really dig in and turn her life around. I love her to death.”
Locklear was arrested earlier this year in February after she reportedly allegedly attacked her boyfriend, then attacked California deputies who responded to a 911 call. The actress sought treatment shortly after her arrest.
According to court records, Locklear is scheduled to appear in court in August for her most recent charges.
