Officials released the autopsy an toxicology results for Emily Glass after filing it with the Sedgwick County District Court on Tuesday, which shows the Kansas woman who led a private investigator to the remains of 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to the autopsy, Glass, 27, died from suicide after shooting herself in the “midline of the forehead.” The weapon used was an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle that belonged to her former boyfriend and the father of Lucas, Jonathan Hernandez.
Hernandez previously told CrimeOnline that he was not in the home when Glass shot herself. He discovered her deceased after he drove to his rental home off of South Edgemoor on June 8 and found her in a back room of the residence.

Marijuana was the only drug found in Glass’ system.
The autopsy also indicated that “scars consistent with remote self-injury/cutting on the left forearm” were present.
Glass was the only suspect in the disappearance and death of Lucas. As CrimeOnline previously reported, the little boy’s death was ruled “undetermined.”
