Gunfire erupted at the offices of an Annapolis-based newspaper on Thursday afternoon, and the sheriff’s department has reported multiple fatalities.

Speaking to Fox News, Anne Arundel County Sheriff Ron Bateman said he believes that multiple people were killed and one suspect has been apprehended after a shooting at the Annapolis Capital-Gazette on Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff Bateman could not confirm any further information about the shooting.
