Authorities in New York City have released footage they say shows the apparently unprovoked on a man walking on the sidewalk last month.
According to Fox News, two men can be seen in the video beating the victim at around 5 p.m. on June 17.
The suspects were in a Range Rover at the scene of the attack in Longwood, a community in the Bronx, according to police.
They both reportedly exited the vehicle and ran quickly to the 32-year-old victim before they started beating him with the metal bats they were carrying.
As of the latest updates available, police say they were still searching for the two unidentified men.
Authorities released general descriptions of the men along with video footage of the attack.
One of the men is said to be in his his 30s and has black hair and a medium build. He was last reported to be wearing black shoes, a gray shirt and blue jean short with black sunglasses and a gold chain.
The other was wearing a white T-shirt and orange shorts along with a gold watch during the incident. He was described as a bald man with a medium build who is believed to be between 27 and 35 years old.
During the attack, the suspects reportedly knocked the victim to the ground before they ran from the scene and back into the SUV.
Reports indicate the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition on Tuesday.
