Manhattan luxury hotel suicide jumper was man in his 30’s, left multiple notes behind: Report

The man found dead outside of a luxury Manhattan hotel reportedly left multiple suicide notes before leaping to his death.

The New York Daily News reports that the man was 39 years old, though authorities have not yet released his name.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, multiple witnesses reportedly called 911 after seeing the man jump from his room on the 11th floor of the Royalton Hotel in Midtown. A delivery person reportedly saw the body on the street right after the apparent suicide leap, just before noon on Monday.

The Daily News report did not specify the contents of the letters.

It is not known if the man lived in New York City or was visiting from another area, or how long he had been staying at the hotel. A front desk attendant declined further comment to the New York Post after saying that the hotel guest’s death was “very sad.”

CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
