URGENT! Woman still missing 11 DAYS after sending roommate a strange text message

An Arizona woman remains missing 11 days after she reportedly sent a peculiar text to her roommate and vanished without a trace.

Kiera Bergman, 19, was last seen August 4 at Indigo Creek Apartments in Glendale. Bergman’s roommate, Destiny Hall-Chand, told AZFamily they went to work together and Bergman left. She said she got a text from Bergman and hasn’t heard from her since.

“She was saying that she was going to go out with some guy she met at the store a couple days ago which is something that’s not like her, that’s not something she would do,” Hall-Chand explained.

Her father, Chris Bragg, told ABC News that his daughter’s wallet, purse, and car were located at her apartment.

The outlet reported that Bergman is originally from San Diego, California, but moved in March to Arizona to be with her boyfriend. Her parents claimed the teen lost her spirit since making the move, according to AZFamily.

Bragg said his daughter was in “on-again, off-again relationship” with her boyfriend. She moved in with Hall-Chand following their most recent breakup, he said.

Her mother, Kiersten Bragg, told “Good Morning America” that she last spoke with Bergman via text on June 30 and that she didn’t seem like “her normal, happy self.”

Despite this, authorities noted that it wasn’t like Bergman to go this long without speaking to her family.

Phoenix police Seargent Vince Lewis said they’re treating Bergman’s disappearance as a missing person investigation. He said it’s not being treated as criminal investigation because there aren’t any suspects or persons of interest.

Lewis also told KNBC that no physical evidence suggests that foul play is involved with Bergman’s disappearance.

“Phoenix Police is actively and vigorously investigating this disappearance. Phoenix Police are in constant contact with the family and have been conducting interviews daily. We understand the emotions involved and wish to show empathy towards all those who are looking for Kiera,” the police department said in a statement issued to the news station.

Police said Bergman is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding Kiera Bergman’s whereabouts is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 602-534-2121.
