A Pennsylvania woman stands accused of child rape after allegedly uploading a video of herself sexually assaulting a 5-year-old boy to social media earlier this month.
On Wednesday, 24-year-old Corby Jo Kinzey, of Greensburg, was arraigned on numerous felony charges including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, filming a sex act with a child, and possession of child pornography, the Tribune-Review reports.
According to an affidavit obtained by the media outlet, authorities learned of alleged crime Tuesday evening after a person who viewed the alleged video turned a copy over to police.
Court documents show that when Detective Sgt. John Swank questioned the suspected child rapist, Kinzey claimed a masked man had entered her home before forcing her to perform a sex act on the victim at gunpoint while recording the abuse with her phone.
“Kinzey said that she had deleted the video. I then told Kinzey that her story was not plausible and she began crying,” Swank wrote in the probable cause affidavit, adding that the woman then broke down and confessed to the unthinkable assault.
Officials believe the abuse to have taken place sometime between August 1 and August 14.
The child is currently in the custody of a relative as the investigation continues, according to Swank. The relationship between Kinzey and the boy isn’t clear at this time.
Online records show that the suspect is behind bars without bond at the Westmoreland County Prison. A preliminary hearing on the case is scheduled for August 23.
