Police say a missing 6-year-old boy who vanished in Philadelphia this weekend is in danger, and they are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

ABC 6 reports that Devante Hayward Jr. was last seen on Friday by his mother. The little boy had been with a man known to the mother as Jay, and Jay told her that he would return her son to the Fresh Grocer  1501 Market Street in Center City but never showed.

The relationship between Devante and Jay is not known. The man did not return the little boy to his mother as promised, and she has reportedly been unable to reach him since then.

Jay is reportedly known to sell water in front of the Fresh Grocer.

Devante has brown eyes, wavy black hair, and light brown skin. He is 4’10” and weighs 7o pounds. Jay was last seen wearing a purple shirt.
