An heiress accused of attacking a New York attorney following an antisemitic rant appeared in court this week on related charges.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Jackqueline Kent Cooke, the daughter of former Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke, was arrested following a New Year’s Eve incident at a restaurant in New York City.
She allegedly engaged in a racist tirade directed at a family in line ahead of her.
“Hurry up, Jew,” she allegedly said.
At one point, she is accused of hitting attorney Matthew Haberkorn in the head with her glass purse.
Cooke has since alleged that she was misheard at the time and actually said, “Excuse me I have to get through.”
She initially faced a felony assault charge but appeared this week in Manhattan Criminal Court on a misdemeanor count, according to Fox News.
Prosecutors have recommended three months in jail.
A judge ordered that the case be adjourned until next month.
