Original story:
Police in Florida are asking for the public’s help in locating a mother and her 1-year-old son after their car was reportedly found abandoned Thursday morning in Pinellas Park.
According to WFLA, Sydney Wyatt, 28, and her son, Future Johnson, were last seen Wednesday afternoon as they left her grandmother’s home, where they were staying, near 15th Street North and 78th Terrace North in St. Petersburg. Wyatt borrowed her grandmother’s vehicle, which had a car seat and other baby items inside of it when it was found.
“Not unusual, except she wouldn’t let the other kids go with her,” a neighbor who reportedly watched the pair drive off told WTVT.
Sydney was described as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, and having long dark brown hair that’s shaved on the left side. She also has a tattoo of the letter “S” on her left ring finger, “Future” tattooed on her right chest, and “rusty” tattooed on her left chest.
Future has blond hair and blue eyes.
“We’re concerned the way the vehicle was abandoned. It leaves cause for concern,” police spokesperson Sandra Bentil said, adding that Wyatt does have a criminal history.
“Regardless of what her past is, it’s very important we locate her. Something doesn’t look like it’s right here.”
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding Sydney Wyatt and Future Johnson’s disappearance can call St. Petersburg Police at 727-893-7780.
