Authorities searching for a missing Maine elementary school teacher have reportedly found a body not far from her North Yarmouth home.
The Portland Press Herald reports that police found a body in a wooded area behind Kirstin Westra’s home, but they have not yet identified it or said if they believe it is the missing woman. It is not yet known if the body belongs to a woman or a man.
Westra’s husband Jay Westra reported her missing on Monday morning after he woke up to found she was gone, and her cell phone and wallet were left behind.

Earlier Friday, authorities reportedly told People magazine that they did not suspect foul play.
Jay Westra told NBC News this week that Westra had been experiencing anxiety before she went missing.
“Sunday morning, Kristin was experiencing what I would call some anxiety and she expressed that she had some sleepless nights and was worried,” he said.
