Authorities in Mississippi are investigating following reports that someone stabbed a baby before placing them into an oven—baking them.
WTVA reported that emergency crews were called to a residence in Shaw at around 7 p.m. Monday. Responding officers reportedly found the baby, whose age was undisclosed, at the scene.
The Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office said one suspect is in custody in connection with the baby’s death. The suspect’s relationship to the baby is unknown at this point in time. It’s also unclear when the baby died.
