Authorities in California say a teacher was arrested on suspicion of multiple felony criminal counts after a series of pornographic videos surfaced allegedly showing her engaging in sexual acts with a female teen.

According to the New York Post, 49-year-old Dawn Gianni began the behavior in 2014. At the time, the alleged victim was 14 years old.

Police reports indicate the teen girl, who was related to the suspect but was not her student, was responsible for uploading the videos to the adult website Pornhub.

Police in Palo Alto were first alerted to the situation last week when officials at Woodside High School learned of the footage.

At the time of her arrest on Oct. 18, Gianni was an elementary school teacher. The Redwood City School District has since indicated that she was fired from a position as a substitute teacher following the arrest.

Several adult films surfaced on Pornhub featuring a female teacher from California allegedly engaged in sex acts with a teen girl relative, according to reports.

San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said that the alleged crimes “occurred in at least two counties.”

He described an incident “here in our county, in Redwod City” as well as “a trip down to Santa Cruz that she took with the victim and there was sexual activity there.”

As of the latest updates available, Gianni remained behind bars with bail set at $1.75 million.

She is expected to face more than two dozen charges related to sexual misconduct with a minor and is set to appear in court next month, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
