A 37-year-old former teacher in North Dakota learned her fate after pleading guilty earlier this year to charges related to inappropriate sexual relationships with multiple students.
According to the New York Post, Shannon Moser was in Cass County District Court on Monday when she was sentenced to spend 10 years behind bars followed by five years of probation.
She will also be required to register as a sex offender.
In August, she entered a guilty plea in response to charges of gross sexual imposition, sexual assault, and luring a minor by computer.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, the married mother of four was arrested in July after allegedly sharing hundreds of explicit photos and videos on social media with herself and two male students.
Police say she had sex with one of the juveniles earlier that month at a park in the area.
One of the victims said he was 16 when he said they had sex at Rendezvous Park in West Fargo. The other said he received explicit images on Snapchat beginning when he was 14.
Prosecutors say some of that material depicted her having sex with her husband.
A former educator at Liberty Middle School, Moser told the court she was “vastly ashamed” of her actions. She resigned from her position in July amid an ongoing criminal probe.
Police say she also encouraged her students to refer to her as Kim Kardashian.
“I feel like I don’t deserve life or breath for all the harm and hurt that I’ve caused so many people,” she said.
