A Target customer in Florida said she noticed someone invading her space as she shopped earlier this month, prompting her to allegedly catch a voyeur in his perverted act.
According to the Naples News, police say the victim was at a Super Target location in the Naples area on November 6 when she became suspicious of a man in the store.
She allegedly saw the suspect, 21-year-old Cain Podolski, with his cellphone near the floor underneath her dress.
Police say the woman reacted by screaming and snatching the man’s phone from him.
After searching through his recent photos, police say she discovered an image that appeared to have been taken of her.
Podolski was able to retrieve his phone and exit the store, according to police reports, and the alleged victim reported the incident to the store’s management.
Authorities responded to the scene, near the intersection of Interstate 75 and Immokalee Road, and began an investigation.
As the Collier County Sheriff’s Office reported, Podolski was identified as a suspect following an initial probe that included reviewing the store’s surveillance footage.
The Naples man had been arrested in August on suspicion of similar counts stemming from an incident at a Sak’s Fifth Avenue locationm, according to WBBH.
When presented with a photo lineup of individuals, police say the victim selected the suspect as the man she saw in the store.
Podolski has since been arrested and is expected to face charges including a felony count of video voyeurism, second offense.
