Convicted family-killer Chris Watts has been moved from a Colorado prison to an undisclosed location, the Denver Post reports.
Mark Fairbairn Department of Corrections spokesman told the newspaper that Watts, 33, has been transferred out of state but did not specify where. Though the location is not expected to be released publicly, the Department of Corrections has reportedly notified the Weld County District Attorney’s Office as well as the family members of his murdered wife Shanann Watts where Chris is now being held.
It’s for safety and security, not just for him, but for our staff, everyone,” Fairbairn told the Denver Post.
Watts pleaded guilty last month to murdering his pregnant wife and his two daughters, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste. He is serving three life sentences without the possibility of parole.
