An Ohio woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly throwing hot grease on someone during an argument.
Per WXIX, Charlene Thompson, 61, is facing a felonious assault charge for dumping scalding grease on the female victim, leaving severe burns to her back and arm. Officers who responded to the Mt. Airy residence reportedly noticed the victim’s injuries.
Thompson had two outstanding warrants for criminal damaging or endangering at the time of her arrest, according to court records obtained by the news station.
Thompson reportedly has a lengthy criminal history, which includes arrests for assault and trespassing. In 2008, she allegedly kicked and spit on an officer. She was charged with domestic violence in 2006 for allegedly striking her daughter in the face and head on Christmas Eve.
Thompson’s bond was set at $15,000 and she was ordered to stay away from the victim. Her trial is scheduled for December 14.
