A Texas teacher is facing criminal charges after she allegedly planned to sell a young female relative for sex to men in Morocco.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Amber Michelle Parker, 37, an eighth-grade reading teacher at Mexia Independent School District is accused of traveling to Morocco in mid-December to make the illicit deal. Parker had reportedly corresponded with Morrocan men online about selling the young girl, claiming she was a virgin and presenting photos of her in lingerie where
“She (the victim) wants to peel your uniform off of you, cuff you, and lick your abs,” Parker wrote in Facebook messages sent to two men, according to KWTX.
The affidavit stated that Parker and the men discussed flying to the United States and having sex with her and her underage relative. Later on, the men reportedly talk about having the pair travel to Morocco to engage in sex acts.
Parker reportedly returned to the States on New Year’s Day. Authorities said the girl never left the country and is safe, according to The Morning News.
“Family members got wind that Parker was going to try to lure this girl to Morocco,” McClennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said, per the Waco Tribune-Herald. “It is a dastardly story, and it is trafficking at its worst.”
A joint investigation between the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office and McLennan County Sheriff’s Office concluded with Parker’s arrest Wednesday. The school district placed her on administrative following her arrest on trafficking of persons charges.
McNamara told KWTX, “It’s a very low-down thing, it’s the worst of the worst when you prostitute your own relative, that’s as low as you get. It’s sickening to think a woman would stoop that low.”
